The Samaritan Counseling Centers of the Mid-South are an interfaith counseling ministry which provide confidential, compassionate care to people seeking a balance of emotional, behavioral, and relational health. Combining the resources of psychology and spirituality, the professional staff offers individual, family, and group therapy services, as well as educational and consultation programs on a diverse range of topics. Services are available for adults and children.
A not-for-profit agency working in collaboration with Mid-South area congregations and service agencies, the Samaritan Counseling Centers responds to the needs of those struggling to overcome:

COUNSELING services are provided for adults, adolescents, children and couples on an individual, family or group basis. Counselors have understanding of the processes of human development and the spiritual dimensions of life, and are skilled in guiding the exploration of problems which stand as barriers to a fuller, more satisfying life.
Psychological testing services are also available.
FEES for therapy services are based on individual circumstances of income and family size, and financial restrictions never preclude care. A sliding-fee scale and fee assistance services are made possible through the support of supporting congregations and contributions from individuals, businesses, and foundations.
CONSULTATION services are offered to individual clergy and clergy groups, church staffs, congregational lay leaders, and organizations to help in dealing with a variety of relationship, conflict, workplace, and organizational issues.
ENRICHMENT AND EDUCATION programs, seminars, workshops, and retreats are offered on a wide range of pertinent topics. Clinical staff member make frequent presentations to churches, schools, businesses, and community organizations throughout the year on topics such as:

CLINICAL SUPERVISION of clergy and other practitioners is available. A Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) certified supervisor is available to work with CPE programs in the area. Persons interested in a vocation in pastoral counseling may contact to be added to the mailing list for development of the training programs.
