How Do I Pray? |
|
It seems to me that two words occupy
spiritual and religious seekers more than any
others: LOVE and PRAYER. Millions of words,
thousands of books, hundreds of sermons are
devoted to these two concepts.
What I believe first
and foremost about prayer is that it is
relationship with God, and that is
the key factor. Just as in human
relationships, sometimes one form of
communication works, sometimes another. So,
whatever works best for you in your life
today is going to be the best way for you to
pray today.

Vacationing with God
Prayers to print and carry with you on
your journeys…
Day 1: Gracious God, it's hard to
shift from a life of busy work to a period of
quiet relaxation.
Day 2: Gracious God, may I see the
wonders of creation this day.
Day 3 Gracious God, it is a time to
see and do new things now.

Creating Sacred Space Whether it is meditation,
centering prayer or simple awareness, spiritual depth occurs
when there is focus and singularity. The number of possessions
we have, the amount of material goods that fill our lives,
the clutter that seems to gather all around our living areas
crowd out attention and focus.
One way to reclaim that holy core that exists
within us is to create a simple space where
what is divine may be drawn out.
