    Why We Pray

Prayer is not really about getting God to do something for you or to get God to make a change about something. It is about building a relationship with God. It is conversing with God, learning to be in God?s presence, attuning yourself to the movement of God in your life.

Just as any human relationship requires a commitment of time to be with each other, so our relationship with God is nourished when we take time to be with God in prayer.

Most importantly, prayer will remind you that you always have access to God's eternal love no matter what you do or do not do.

    Flightplan
Can you stick to your beliefs even when circumstances seem to contradict them and everyone around you thinks you're nuts? Aerospace engineer Kyle Pratt faces this test to the nth degree when her six-year-old daughter apparently goes missing midway through an overnight flight from Berlin to New York.

    Broken Flowers
The latest film from director Jim Jarmusch, is something of a puzzle. The movie is centered around Don Johnston, played by Bill Murray, a preoccupied man who lives in the luxury penthouse/prison of his own narcissism.

Many "Christians" on the religious right are pro-war, pro-death penalty and pro-tax cuts for the rich. Would Jesus agree?
